Caldera is a fine brewery out of Ashland Oregon. They chose to go with a canning line instead of a bottling line. You will see more and more micros coming out in cans. In reality, as long as you are not drinking it out of the can (and you shouldn’t be drinking good beer out of a bottle either) and pouring it into a glass, the can is a better package than a bottle. These days the cans have plastic liners so there will not be any metallic flavor, they will not be affected by light (UV light causes skunkiness) and they cool down faster. As for the beer, this is by far the best beer I have ever had out of a can. It is a well-made pale with an easy malting and an awesome hop aroma. I hope to see more of their beers on the shelf sometime soon.
