Celis White Style: Wit Origin: Michigan
Oh happy, happy day!! The return of Celis White!!. Peter Celis was the man responsible for reviving the Belgian Wit (or White) style which is a wheat beer made with orange peel and coriander. He was the one who designed Hoegaarden. He came to America some time ago and started the Celis brewery. The Celis brand has since been bought and sold a few times but is now made in Michigan and is still made with style and flare. It pours a cloudy pale yellow. The aroma is wheaty with lemon and spices. The flavor has clove and coriander with lemon notes all on a solid wheat flavor. Man oh man a good wit beer is hard to beet and this one is very true to style and one that I am proud to sell. |
